Strategic Plan

A strategic plan is an essential component of any organization. Largo's Strategic Plan is an evolution of the Future Focus document created in 2015 and seeks to encompass both community aspirations and initiatives. The plan sets goals to maintain those aspects of our community is most proud of, and strives to achieve the new goals expressed by residents and City leaders.

The plan is a blueprint – a guide for the City operations – that focuses on clear, collective goals. As an organization, it helps prioritize resources and facilitate management decisions that target these desired outcomes. As a community, it provides a shared vision for Largo and a basis to identify, evaluate, and communicate progress on results. The City of Largo is excited to announce plans to accept a grant in the amount of $28,032 from the FY2019 Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant (JAG) Program. The grant is administered by the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) which annually allocates funding to law enforcement agencies through a population and crime rate-related formula.

The City of Largo will be turning the reclaimed water system back online on Tuesday, December 10. Current sample results are now below the maximum daily threshold for bacteria and the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP) has agreed the reclaimed system can go back online.
