Are you a City of Largo Team Member? Then the answer is yes! All City of Largo Team Members, or groups of Team Members, are eligible for this program.
Fill in the Sustainability Grant Application form completely in order to apply. In order to have a successful and complete application, you will have to coordinate with other staff members or divisions who your project might impact, provide any quotes for materials or services that would be needed, ensure a connection to the City's Strategic Plan, and ensure there is a way to maintain the project long-term, if applicable.
Prior to submission, please ensure that you have the capacity to carry out the project and provide feedback on the results of your project. While there is no official obligation for supervisor approval before submitting an application, projects will only be successful with support from your supervisor.

Applications are due by the end of each quarter and must be submitted by 5pm on the following dates:

An interdepartmental Sustainability Grant Review Committee reviews the applications on a quarterly basis. This team works to ensure that applications are fully aligned with organizational efforts, including LEAP and the Strategic Plan. The team also works to ensure that projects are well planned and that all the appropriate information is included on the application.

Within one week of your submission, you will receive an email from the Sustainability Administrator letting you know if there are any additional documents that should be submitted.
At the end of each quarter, the Sustainability Grant Review Committee will review all new applications potentially ask clarifying questions of the applicants. After review, the Committee will determine their status of each project: approved, denied, or request for resubmission. Requests for resubmission usually require additional details to be provided in order to have a more clear picture of the purpose of the project. Please allow up to one month after the close of each submission deadline for the status of your project.

While there is $20,000 allocated to the Sustainability Grant each year, typical projects may range from $1,000-$7,500. You may, however, submit a request for any amount of funding. There is no need for matching funds of any kind.
