Largo COVID-19 Update: Building and Planning Services

The City of Largo in following the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) recommendation for social distancing, has closed Largo City Hall including the Building and Planning Division to the public starting at 8am on Thursday, March 19, 2020. This decision was made in response to emerging public health concerns of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and a proactive measure to ensure the health and safety of our staff, residents, and customers. The public's patience and understanding are appreciated as we work through this uncertain time together as a community. 

Planning staff will remain available to customers by contacting the Planner-on-call at or by calling (727)587-6749 Ext. 7301. 

The Building Division will continue functioning for permitting and plan review via online, mail-in and drop off options. At this time, regular inspections will continue to take place. Permit review times may be delayed in particular cases. 

Contractors with access to eTRAKiT may apply for the following permits online:
  • Mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
  • Roof, window, and door
  • Mobile home roof-over
  • Solar
  • Fence and pool fence
  • Natural gas and LP gas
  • Tree
All other permits will require an application and plans to be mailed in or dropped off in-person to Largo City Hall via a permit dropbox located outside of City Hall’s main entrance off of 2nd Ave NE. Please note plans should only be submitted Monday through Friday from 8am to 4pm. Any plans left after that time are at the customer’s own risk.
