In an ongoing effort to eliminate sanitary sewer over flows in the City, the Engineering Department's contractor will be replacing the sanitary sewer line on the west side of Indian Rocks Road from Wilcox Road to Jeff Road and along a portion of Jeff Road as well.
The improvements being made require the intersection of Indian Rocks Road and Wilcox Road to be closed for approximately 17 days, subject to weather conditions, beginning on Tuesday, May 28, 2019. Smaller duration closures will occur at the entrance to Siesta Road, Kensington Oak Place and Jeff Road.
A detour route will be set up for the closure to guide motorists to alternative streets.

Unfortunately, properties along the detour route will see increased vehicle traffic during the time of the closure. As the City of Largo works to complete this project, we ask those who will be impacted by the closure for their patience and that they “Pardon Our Mess.”
Additionally, during the intersection closure, Pinellas County will begin a project to replace the stormwater pipe in the Indian Rocks Road and Wilcox Road intersection. The project will continue replacing sidewalk along the east side of Indian Rocks Road northward to 8th Avenue SW.
