NARROWS ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATION CENTER

TAKE A TOUR

Hours:
 Mon-Sat 9am-5pm Sun 10am-4pm

Also known as the "Turtle Park" for its abundant aquatic turtle population, The Narrows Environmental Education Center is located in McGough Nature Park along the Intracoastal Waterway.

The Narrows Environmental Education Center has a variety of warm and cold blooded animals. We have screech owls, barred owls, great horned owls, red-shouldered hawks, red-tailed hawks, tortoises, snakes, frogs, lizards and of course, the many aquatic turtles our “turtle park” is known for. Come and visit them all. You may even get a face-to-face with one of our feathered friends because all of our birds are taken out of their enclosures every day for a stroll around the park. Visitors may also make personalized donations to help support our animals. Donors will be able to display their contribution on the enclosure of the animal they choose to sponsor.
