The system was taken offline on November 21 after staff advised the reclaimed water was not meeting the disinfection criteria in place to protect the public and natural environment. Environmental Services staff worked 24/7 to resolve issues and was able to bring the reclaimed water back into compliance.
The system will be turned on in phases. Air must be released from the pipes slowly to bring the system back up to normal pressure. All residential and commercial customers are planned to be back online by the evening on Tuesday, December 10. This issue did not affect drinking water or any water coming into your home through faucets in your kitchen or bathroom.
